Background:

I grew up in Sugar Land, TX which is right outside of Houston.  Not once have I moved but that doesn't bother me because I got to go to school with my friends from elementary up to high school.  For the most part I was a typical boy, playing sports as long as there was light outside and then playing video games all night long.  I guess I got my competitive spirit from these things, but now these are my vices as I try to study and get my degree in business =).   In  high school my favorite subjects were most likely math and band.  After I got in band, I loved to learn to play and make music.  Hopefully, I will be able to make music later in life or go back and teach either music or business course in school.

Current Situation:

Right now I am currently a freshman, undeclared business major in the top ranked Red McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.  I am taking many of my pre-requisite courses right now that include ACC, STA, MIS, and my elective SOC.  I decided to come to UT because I've always been a Longhorn since my parents went here and brought me up as Longhorn.  I got orange in my blood.  Currently I am in the Undergraduate Business Council.  I thought the organization would help me get involved more in the business school.  I have met many interesting people as well which was one of my goals.  Next year I hope to join some cultural groups and a business fraternity such as Delta Sigma Phi.

Future Career Plans:

My current career of choice looks like either IS or MKT.  I like the idea of working with computers, working with a lot of people, and traveling.  I would like to stay close to the coast, it doesn't matter whether it is West, South, or East coast.  The most important thing for me is to be happy in what I do, otherwise why go to work.  Then after I retire, I would like to teach other people the things I learned so they can learn from first hand experience.  Plus, I don't want to be one of those people who just sits at home bored after I retire.  I want to have fun- always!

Hope you enjoyed your stay but I have to get back to work!
